Welcome to Zen Golf™ and zengolfapparel.com

Our logo design was crowd sourced in October 2022. We received about 700 logo submissions within a 7-day period. The winning design came from a young man from Caracas, Venezuela. The criteria for the logo were actually very simple:

1. Have the Yin and Yang symbol. This symbolizes the mixing of the energies, making life possible and aiding in balancing one’s direction.
2. Have a left-handed iron within the symbol. The idea was essential in the design because our creator is left-handed.
3. Have a modern, clean design.

For years our owner, Dr. Sophia W. Barnes, O.D., tried to bring the concept and apparel line to market. With limited time for her passion for golf, she felt it was important for fellow golfers to understand who she is.

Dr. Barnes is an optometrist with a private practice located in Houston, Texas. She enjoys working and playing golf on her off time. 

For Dr. Barnes Zen Golf™ means balancing her mind on her free time so that she can continually offer excellent patient care when she returns to her practice on Mondays.
